Woodside Kitchen

Interior scheme for the knock through and internal remodel of a kitchen and dining space in South Manchester. The house retained many of its original features, but the kitchen felt dark with old fashioned units and a separate utility space in a layout that felt clumsy and uninviting. The owners wanted to knock through to create a space which better suited their love of cooking and entertaining and worked well with the spaces they had already renovated.

The scheme aimed to create a bright and open kitchen environment which retained some traditional elements but also introduced some more modern details in the colour scheme and finishes.

The design mixes the lighter tones of the high level units and the marbled quartz worktops with the darker blue of the lower level units to create a kitchen space with contrast and interest. Traditional elements including the beautiful chevron wood flooring and shaker style doors combine well with more modern touches including the industrial style lighting.  The bespoke kitchen design also included steps for the homeowners’ cats to access their favourite cupboard above the American-style fridge freezer!
