Whalley Range Bathroom
Renovation of a family bathroom in a five bedroomed house in Whalley Range, South Manchester. The owners wanted to increase the size of the current bathroom by taking space from a neighbouring bedroom to make space for a separate bath and shower, and to completely overhaul the look of the room which had been left untouched for many years.
The focus of the scheme was on creating a room with a calm and restful feel but which would also be practical for everyday family use.
The key element of the design was a single wall of Eucalyptus Lily Pad hexagonal tiles from Ca Pietra which step down over the vanity area and have an unfinished edge accentuating their shape. The vanity cabinet, with Superfront doors, is also a key feature.
The scheme is enhanced by simple Farrow & Ball colours – Wevet and Dropcloth – neutral mosaic floor tiles from Topps Tiles with brass taps and shower from Lusso Stone.
